THE PHOENIX CHARITABLE TRUST (CIRENCESTER AND DISTRICT)
The Trust, originally set up as the Phoenix Surgery Charitable Trust, was founded in February 1992 by Dr David Beales who, although retired and no longer living in the area, remains an Honorary Trustee and still very much involved with the Trust.
Although still closely associated with the Phoenix Surgery, our Trustees consist of staff and patients from various different surgeries in Cirencester, some of whom have no medical background at all, but are dedicated to helping local people.
Our present trustees are:
- Mr Peter Jay (Chairman)
- Dr Naomi Vernon
- Mr Roger Edgar
- Mrs Anne Clark
- Mrs Sheila Jones
- Mrs Gillie Roberts
- Mr Richard O’Donnell
- Mrs Margaret Seatter
- Miss Lisa Hepworth
Honorary Trustee/Founder Member:
- Dr David Beales
AIM OF THE TRUST
- To support the provision of services to relieve hardship or distress affecting patients’ health where the service is not generally available within the NHS.
- To ensure that everyone has equal access to the services they need, even if they cannot afford the full cost.
